Inducted in 1984 for his achievements in basketball. A prolific scorer, he led the 1956 basketball team to 23 wins without a loss. The team was defeated by South Dakota State University in a regional playoff game by a score of 108 to 106 in overtime. Luther was All-Conference for two years and had a 25 points per game average.
