Coach Schlieve and the Mayville State University Football Staff are pleased to announce the first round of signings for the 2013 class. The football staff has worked hard to change the culture of Mayville State Football over the last 20 months and it has shown both on the field and off. This first round of commits for this year shows just how much has changed.  The assistant coaches have worked very hard over the last couple of months to get us to this point and deserve all the credit.  The 2013 class is a group of quality young men who are anxious to help Mayville State University Football get over the hump and give the Comet Nation the season that they deserve to have.  Below is a list of the players who have committed to joining us in the fall.

We are not done recruiting but we wanted our fans and alumni to see how much progress we have made up to this point. We have more recruits who are looking to make their decision on which college to attend after their respective winter sports are finished.

Regardless of where somewhere is from we still are looking for the same 5 items when we are out recruiting:

2. Work Ethic
3. Attitude
4. Coach-ability
5. Talent

We look for those qualities in that order as well. This will help us to build a program that is set on a solid foundation. We want to build a program that our student body, our alums, the local community, and the entire Comet Nation can be proud to call their own.  We have not arrived but we are getting close and there is a buzz about Mayville State Football.
