Jamestown College racked up 525 yards of total offense en route to a 44-7 victory over Mayville State University on Saturday in a Dakota Athletic Conference matchup at Rollie Greeno Field in Jamestown, N.D,
The Comets struggled to get any momentum going on either side of the ball. Jamestown had 252 yards rushing and 273 yards passing while the Comets finished with 48 yards rushing and 28 yards passing in the contest. MSU finished the game with three first downs while the Jimmies had 23.
Jamestown was on its way to a shutout had it not been for a 99-yard punt return by
Dominique Bradley with 2:23 in the fourth quarter, Bradley also returned six kickoffs for the Comets and collected 173 yards in kickoff return yardage.
Clifton Krotz led the Comets defense with 13 tackles in the game.
Dominique Bradley added 10 tackles and Billy Drake had 8. Mike Nelson and James Staub each finished the game with 6 tackles.
The Comets are now 1-6 overall and 0-5 in the Dakota Athletic Conference. They return home to Jerome Berg Field this weekend to take on Valley City State University.
