Dickinson State University defeated the Mayville State University Comets football team 47-14 on Saturday in a game played in Dickinson, N.D.
Mayville State University jumped out to a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter when quarterback
Jake McLain threw a 73-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Taylor Kunkle. But after that Dickinson State took control and never looked back, scoring seven touchdowns before the Comets were able to get on the board again.
Jake McLain passed for 207 yards and
Jerril Jenkins rushed for 79 to lead the Comets as MSU finished the day with 312 yards of total offense. On defense the Comets were led by
Jacob Grosz with 11 tackles on the game.
Dominique Bradley recorded six tackles and
Adam Popple finished with five.
Dickinson State University passed for 277 yards and rushed for 181 for a total of 458 yards on offense.
Mayville State University is now 3-3 on the season and will move on to face Valley City State University on Saturday, October 8th.
