The Mayville State University Comets volleyball team picked up one win and suffered one loss during their day of competition at the Concordia College Triangular in Moorhead, Minnesota.
MSU opened up the triangular with a grueling five-set victory over the University of Minnesota-Morris. The Comets dominated the first set with a 25-9 victory, fell in sets number two and threeby scores of 20-25 and 16-25, and battled back to win the final two sets by scores of 25-21 and 15-11.
Abagail Anderson led all Comets with 13 kills and
Josette Glatt had 11.
Laura Kolness and
Ariana Odegard had 20 assists and 19 assists respectively.
Emily Liljestrand led the Comets with 25 digs and
Brittany Olson led the defense with nine blocks.
In the second game, Mayville State fell in three straight games by scores of 25-16, 25-20, and 25-21.
Brittany Olson had 11 kills to lead the Comets,
Ariana Odegard had a team-high 20 assists, and
Emily Liljestrand led the way with 15 digs.
