Comet volleyball team wins one and loses one during competition at the Dakota State Triangular

Mayville State University defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan three games to zero and fell to Dakota State University three games to one during volleyball action at the Dakota State Triangular in Madison, S.D.

MSU came out firing in the first game of the triangular and swept Oklahoma Wesleyan by scores of 25-17, 25-15, and 25-12. Nikki Roholt led the Comets offense with 10 kills and Laura Kolness led all Comets with 20 assists. Emily Liljestrand led MSU with 17 digs and Brittany Olson had a team-high 4 blocks in the match.

The Comets came up short against the Dakota State University Trojans in their second match of the day. Dakota State
defeated the Comets by game scores of 25-19, 15-25, 25-23, and 25-22. Leading the way for the Comets offense was Josette Glatt with 16 kills. Ariana Odegard led all Comets with 20 assists and Emily Liljestrand had a team-high 26 digs. Glatt and Nikki Roholt finished the match with five blocks each.

The Comets are now 22-14 on the season and will move on to face Minot State University on October 25th in Minot, N.D. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
