Mayville State volleyball team wins third straight match with big win over Valley City State University

The Mayville State University volleyball team won its third straight match on Wednesday night with a three games to zero win over rival Valley City State University in a match played at the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse in Mayville, N.D.

MSU controlled the tempo and dominated the match, winning by scores of 25-19, 25-18, and 25-13 to improve to 15-7 on the season.

Josette Glatt continued to play well with nine kills to lead the Comets attack, while Maggie Maroney and Nikki Roholt added eight kills each. Laura Kolness set up hitters with 16 assists and Ariana Odegard set up hitters with 15 assists of her own.

Defensively the Comets were led Glatt with four blocks and Roholt with three. Emily Liljestrand and Kolness led the Comets with eight digs apiece.

The Comets are now 15-7 on the season and will play Dakota State on Friday night.
