The MSU volleyball team traveled to Valley City State on Tuesday, October 9th to take on the Vikings for the final time this regular season.

The Comets got out to a fast start winning the first set 25-18, but the Vikings battled back by winning set two tying the match at one game apiece. The third set was a back and forth contest that found the Comets eventually winning 30-28. The Vikings responded again with a big win in set 4. They carried this momentum into set 5 defeating the Comets 2-3 (25-18, 17-25, 30-28, 23-25, 12-15)

The Comets were led by Josette Glatt who had a game high 13 kills. Maggie Maroney added 11 kills and Laura Kolness led the way in assists with 41.

The Comets will host an alumni match on Saturday, October, 13th. Game time is set for 10:30 am. They will than hit the road on October 19th and 20th for a four game tournament in Forest City, IA.
