The Comets traveled just down the road for a rematch against Concordia College on Tuesday, October 16th.
The Concordia College Cobbers took an early 1-0 lead defeating the Comets 25-22 in the first set. The Cobbers kept the momentum rolling with another win in the second set. The Comets responded winning the third set 25-21, but fell short in set 4 losing to the Cobbers 3-1 (22-25, 17-25, 25-21, 20-25).
The Comets were led by
Josette Glatt. The sophomore from Bismarck, ND finished the game with 19 kills.
Maggie Maroney and
Nikki Roholt each had 7 kills.
Laura Kolness also had a nice game for the Comets finishing with 40 assists to go along with her 15 digs.
The MSU volleyball team will be in action this weekend for a 4 game tournament in Forest City, IA. Their first game will be on Friday, October 19th against Briar Cliff. Game time is set for 5 pm. The Comets will follow that with a contest versus Waldorf College at 6:30 pm.
