The Comet volleyball team took on Dakota State University in their final regular season game of 2012.

The Comets came out strong on senior night taking an early lead in the first set and going on to win 25-20. In the second set the Comets caught fire starting on a 16-4 run. They went on to win the set with a score of 25-12.

The third set was much the same as the Comets took care of Dakota State in 3 straight sets (25-20, 25-12, 25-13). The Comets attack was very balanced with 5 players finishing with over 5 kills.

The Comets were led by Nikki Roholt. The senior finished with 10 kills. Maggie Maroney and Remington Werner added 9 kills, and Brittany Olson and Josette Glatt chipped in 7 kills for the Comets.

The Comets finish the regular season with a 23-13 record. Mayville State will host the A.I.I. tournament on November 9th & 10th with the top two teams advancing to the national tournament.
