The Mayville State Comets hosted Concordia College and Presentation College in a triangular tournament on Friday, October 5th.     

In the first match the Comets took on the Presentation College Saints. The Comets went back and forth with the Saints until going on a huge 9-2 run in both the first and second set. MSU took that momentum into the third set cruising to a 3-0 victory (25-16, 25-17, 25-14).

The Comets were led by Josette Glatt who had a game high 14 kills. Maggie Maroney added 12 kills and Remington Werner chipped in 11  kills for the Comets.

In the final match of the triangular the Comets took on the Concordia College Cobbers. The Comets came out strong winning the first set 25-17. The Cobbers went on to win the next two sets. The Comets battled back with a big 25-15 win in set four to set the stage for set five. Set five was a back and forth contest, but the Comets fell short losing 3-2 (25-17, 25-27, 22-25, 25-15, 13-15).

The Comets were led by Josette Glatt who had a game high 19 kills. Nikki Roholt and Maggie Maroney added 12 kills, and Laura Kolness finished with 53 assists.   

Mayville State will take the road for their next contest as they will travel to Valley City State on Tuesday, October 9th. Game time is set for 7 pm.
