The Comet Volleyball team took the road over the weekend for 3 games over a span of 2 days. Their first stop was in Sioux Center Iowa where the Comets took on Dordt College. The Comets fell in 3 straight sets 3-0 (21-25, 19-25, 22-25). Josette Glatt led the way for the Comets with 11 kills. Laura Kolness added 25 assists.

On day two Mayville State traveled to Omaha, Nebraska for a pair of games against College of St. Mary and Briar Cliff. In the first game the Comets took on the College of St. Mary and took care of business in 4 sets winning 3-1 (25-15, 22-25, 25-22, 25-16). Josette Glatt had a game high 15 kills. Brittany Olson added 10 kills and Laura Kolness had 39 assists.

In the final game of the weekend the Comets took on Briar Cliff. This was a back and forth contest with the Comets finding themselves down 2-0 early on. The Comets fought back and went on to win the next 3 matches with a final of 3-2 (17-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-23, 15-13). The Comets were led by Josette Glatt, Maggie Maroney, and Remington Werner who all had 11 kills. Laura Kollness added 43 assists.

The Comets will be in action again on Tuesday, September 18th as they will host the University of Minnesota Morris. Game time is set for 7 pm.
