Box Score 2 DICKINSON & MINOT, N.D. – The Comets final road trip of the 2013 regular season concluded this week as they took on the Dickinson State University Blue Hawks and the Minot State University Beavers on October 29
th and 30
th. The Comets split the two games to bring them to 19-17 with one game to go before the first ever NSAA conference tournament begins next week.
The Comets first match was a clean 3-0 sweep of Dickinson State University (25-18, 25-15, and 25-22) that featured a great individual performance among the team victory.
Josette Glatt was on her game that night with 17 kills in three sets. Glatt was the only Comet to finish with double figure kills, although six Comets had kills in the match.
Katie Wangberg was setting up her teammates well with 26 assists, also a high in the match. Wangberg also finished with 13 digs, behind only
Paige O'Connor and her team-high 19.
The second match of the trip saw Mayville State take on the Division II Beavers from Minot State University. The teams split the first two sets, but the Beavers were too much in the final two sets for the Comets to overcome as they lost the match 3-1 (15-25, 25-14, 19-25, 15-25).
Glatt finished with 17 kills for the second match in a row to lead the team. Wangberg was the leader in assist with 30 and O'Connor once again led in digs with 22.
Betsy Smith followed with 12 digs in the match.
The Comets host Saint Mary (Neb.) on Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Lewey Lee Fieldhouse in the final home match of the regular season. It will also be parent's night for the volleyball team as our two seniors,

Mayville State (19-17, 6-2) will host Valley City State University in the semi-final round of the NSAA conference tournament on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse at 7:00 p.m.
