The Comets Football team had a rough day in Valley City, as the North Star Conference leaders dismantled the Comets.

The Vikings started early, scoring four touchdowns in the first quarter. Lance Jackson put the Comets on the scoreboard midway in the second with a 4 yard TD run. Valley City managed to score two more touchdowns in the half to go up 41-6 at the half. The Comets offense wasn't able to get any momentum going in the second half while the Vikings tacked on three more TDs to make the final score 62-6.

Octavius Hayes gained 86 yards rushing and receiving and Aaron Johnson collected 2 sacks on the day for Comet highlights.

The loss drops the Comets record to 2-5 overall. The Comets continue their North Dakota road trip to Jamestown Saturday 10/18 to battle the Jimmies.
