The Comets Volleyball team traveled to Valley City Tuesday for an important NSAA match against the Vikings. After a slow start, the Comets rallied to win 3-1.
Valley City jumped out to a 10-4 lead in Set 1 and never looked back, winning 25-16. Set 2 was close throughout, but a 9-3 run in the middle of the match gave the Comets enough cushion to even the match with a 25-22 victory. Valley City scored the first 5 points of Set 3, but the Comets rallied right back and scratched their way to win 25-22. After a close start in Set 4, the Comets took control in the middle of the set and finished off the Vikings with another 25-22 win.
Josette Glatt (13) and
Kaitlyn Timian (10) both reached double figures in Kills,
Katie Wangberg recorded 32 Assists and 13 Digs,
Paige O'Connor notched 15 Digs, and
Kyla Bugner contributed 3 Blocks.
The victory lifts the Comets overall record to 17-11 and 5-3 in the NSAA. The hit the road on Thursday, October 23rd to take on the Trinity College Lions. First serve is at 7:00 pm.
