The third-seeded Comets Volleyball team held off a determined effort by Presentation College to advance to the semifinals of the North Star Conference Tournament.

The Saints jumped out to an early 6-2 lead in Set 1, but the Comets came back and finally put away Presentation 25-21. Set 2 was close throughout, as there were 13 ties during the set. Once again, the Comets managed to eke out a 25-22 victory. Set 3 followed Set 2, no team had more than a 3 point advantage throughout. Luckily for the Comets, one of those 3 point advantages came at the end of Set 3 25-22.

Josette Glatt led a balanced Comet attack with 12 kills, with 5 other Comets adding 6 or more. Katie Wangberg collected 37 assists and 12 digs, and Paige O'Connor also reached double figures in digs with 15.

Mayville State travels to Dakota State Wednesday, November 12th for a NSAA semifinal matchup.
