The Comets Men's Basketball team traveled to Iowa Friday afternoon to take on the Waldorf Warriors. The Comets wanted to go into the Christmas break on a strong note and they certainly accomplished that.

The Comet offense was firing on all cyclinders right from the start, as they put up 49 points in the first half while holding Waldorf to only 33. The offense continued to roll in the 2nd half with 47 points, and the defense clamped down on the Warriors limiting them to only 25. When the final horn sounded, the Comets extended their winning streak to 7 games with a 96-58 win. For the game, Mayville State shot almost 61%, including 11 of 20 from the 3 point line.

Chuck Robinson continued to pile up double-doubles, as he poured in 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Jamal Branco scored 18 on 6-7 shooting from the field, and also added 6 assists. Darnell Landon drilled all four of his 3 point attempts enroute to 15 points, Daniel Lindgren did not miss a shot on his way to 11 points, and A.B. Najee chipped in 10.

The Comets record now stands at 8-3. Mayville State travels back down to Iowa on 12/29 to take on two Top 25 teams in #25 Briar Cliff and #14 Morningside.
