Comets Volleyball Open Conference Play with Split

Riding a four match winning streak, the Comets traveled to Dickinson to open Conference play to face the Blue Hawks. The Comets took control of the match by handily winning the first game 25-16. The second game followed a similar pattern with the Comets winning 25-18 and the sweep was complete with a 25-15 victory. Kaitlyn Timian led the Comet attack with 11 Kills, followed by Remington Werner with 10. Katie Wangberg hit double figures in two categories, with 28 Assists and 11 Digs. Finally, Paige O'Connor recorded 16 Digs. 

On Saturday, the Comets took on the Jimmies in Jamestown. Jamestown ended the winning streak at 5 with a 25-19, 25-15, 25-18 victory. Timian and Josette Glatt combined for 17 Kills, Wangberg had 26 Assists and O'Connor had 15 Digs.

This split leaves the Comets overall record at 7-8 with a 1-1 record in the North Star Conference. The Comets begin a 7 game home stand with a Tuesday night matchup against Valley City State at 7:00 P.M.
