The Comets Men's Basketball team looked to grab their first Conference victory of the season against Presentation College.
The game was tight initially, with multiple ties and lead changes. The Saints then went on a 15-3 run to boost their lead to 10 points and managed to hold onto most of that lead going into halftime 31-25. Presentation opened the 2nd half on a mini-run to bump the lead back up to 12. The Comets fought back to within 2 points with 6 minutes to play, but just was not able to clear that final hurdle. The Saints pumped the lead back up to 10 and managed to hold on and win 75-65,
Michael Lindsay led the Comets with 13 points, followed by
Darnell Landon with 12 points and 9 rebounds and
Jamal Branco with 12 points and 7 assists.
The loss drops the Comets record to 12-8 overall and 0-3 in the NSAA. The Comets look to halt their losing streak against Dakota State on Saturday.
