After defeating Presentation College on their home floor to open the NSAA Playoffs, the Comets Men's Basketball team looked for a sweep against South Dakota schools at Dakota State.
The Comets had a few triples fall early, but weren't able to get anything going inside. The Trojans started to roll offensively behind very effective passing and went on a 16-2 run to take control. At halftime, Dakota State led 37-23. The Trojans started the second half on a 14-4 run and opened up a large lead, and was able to maintain that lead throughout by shooting 50% from the field and 16/18 from the line. In the end, Dakota State ended up winning 75-57 to advance to the NSAA Championship game.
Chuck Robinson led all scorers with 25 points, including 21 in the second half. Robinson also pulled down 8 boards.
A.B. Najee contributed 9 points and 4 assists.
The Comets end their season with an 18-11 record, which was a 10.5 game improvement over last year.
