Box Score The Comets Men's Basketball team hosted the Trinity Bible College Lions on Wednesday. A 19-0 in the second half broke open a close game as Mayville State wins 73-58.

The Comets jumped out to 10-2 lead early in the game, but the Lions came right back to tie the game up at 10. The rest of the first half was tightly contested, as neither team could get on a sustained run. After 20 minutes, the Comets held a 35-31 lead. The second half started the same way, and Trinity pulled to within a point at 39-38 three minutes in. The Comets then ripped off the next 20 points in the game over the next seven minutes to blow the game open. The lead never got below 14 the rest of the way as Mayville State won 73-58. The Comets primary edge tonight was its domination of the boards, grabbing 50 to the Lions 30.

Chuck Robinson poured in a season high 26 points while collecting 8 rebounds and blocking 3 shots. A.B. Najee added 11 points, Darnell Landon chipped in 10, Aidan Quinn racked up 4 assists and Terrance Lockett recorded 4 steals.

The Comets record now stands at 9-7. Mayville State finishes their non-conference slate with a game against Silver Lake College on Saturday.
