Box Score The Comets Men's Basketball team traveled to Presentation Saturday to battle the Saints. Presentation's offense was hitting on all cylinders in a 102-82 victory.
The Saints were able to get to the free throw line early and often in the first half, which allowed them to expand their lead to as much as 16 with just over a minute until halftime. The Comets finished with a 10-1 burst to cut the lead to 44-37. Presentation's lead bounced between six and 12 points for the first 11 minutes of the second half, but a run of 13 straight points boosted the Saints lead to 21. The Comets could get no closer than 17 the rest of the way as Presentation finished off the 102-82 win. The Saints advantages from 3 (Saints 11-23, Comets 7-22) and the foul line (Saints 31-43, Comets 17-25) were the key stats of the game.
Josh DeWitt was the only Comet in double figures with 13,
Creighton Pfau added eight rebounds and
Daniel Lindgren finished with three steals.
The loss drops the Comets record to 6-4, 0-3 in the NSAA. Mayville State travels to Jamestown Saturday to take on the Jimmies.
