MADISON, SD – The Mayville State University Comets found out Friday evening who their first round opponent will be in the upcoming North Star Athletic Association 'Super Six' Conference Tournament.
 
The fourth-seeded Comets will open up the tournament facing the fifth-seeded Presentation College Saints on Friday at 12 p.m. at the Watertown Civic Arena in Watertown, S.D.
 
Mayville State enters the tournament with a 9-5 North Star Athletic Association record, along with sporting a 20-11 overall record.
 
The Comets and Saints have met twice this season—on October 9, in Aberdeen, the Comets escaped with a five-set victory. Then, on last Wednesday, in Mayville, the Comets came back from a second set loss to defeat the Saints 3-1 to wrap up the regular season.
 
The winner of the Mayville State/Presentation matchup will play the Viterbo V-Hawks at approximately 7 p.m. on Friday.
 
The North Star Athletic Association championship is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
 
The winner of the tournament will advance to the NAIA National Volleyball Tournament, scheduled to begin November 23.
