Comet volleyball continues road tourney swing

MAYVILLE, ND – The Mayville State University volleyball team continues its run towards its first home game, as they are on the road this weekend to take on four teams at the Concordia Nebraska tournament in Seward, NE.

The Comets will open up the tournament with back-to-back games, the first against Benedictine College (Kansas) on Friday at 3 p.m., followed by Bethany College (Kansas) at 5 p.m. Saturday's games will include a 11 a.m. matchup against the host Concordia University and a 1 p.m. match against Bethel College (Kansas).

About the Opponents
Benedictine College
Benedictine College comes into the matchup with a 3-2 record, which includes a three-game winning streak between a pair of losses. Benedictine defeated NSAA foe Presentation College earlier this season at the MNU Invitational Tournament. Benedictine College finished 17-14 last season.

Bethany College
Bethany College is 3-1 on the season, riding a two-game winning streak heading into the tournament this weekend. They are scheduled to take on NSAA foe Waldorf College in their first game of this weekend's tournament. Bethany College finished 11-21 last season.

Concordia University
Concordia University is a perfect 4-0 on the season, having won four non-conference games to begin the 2019 campaign. Concordia will take on Waldorf in their first game of the tournament late Friday. Concordia finished 12-18 last season.

Bethel College
Bethel College is 2-3 on the season, winning their first game of the season, before falling in the next three straight, then picking up a win last week. They will take on Mayville State to open up their tournament play on Saturday at 1 p.m. Bethel College finished 6-21 last weekend.
