Comet Football travels to #19 Vikings for conference matchup

Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State Football team travels to rival Valley City State for a conference game on Saturday with kick-off scheduled for 2:00 pm.
 
Quick Hits on the Comets: 
The Comet Football team enters the conference matchup with a 0-5 overall record and 0-2 in North Star play.
Mayville State is averaging 16.4 points per game, 71.2 rushing yards per game, 129.4 passing yards per game, and 290.6 total yards per game.
Defensively, MSU is allowing 38.2 points per game, 235.6 rushing yards per game, 216.0 passing yards per game, 451.6 total yards per game and has forced six turnovers.
Tim Salmon has completed 55.1 percent of his passes this season for 954 yards, 10 touchdowns and is averaging 238.5 passing yards per game.
Mason Ollman is the leading rusher for the Comets with 181 yards rushing on 45 attempts with one touchdown.

Leading the defense in tackles is Josiah Walker with 33 total tackles, 16 solo tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and two fumble recoveries.
Danzele Navy is second on the team with 28 total tackles, 18 solo tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks, two interceptions, and two pass breakups.
Jelon Hilton has 22 tackles in the secondary with 1.0 tackles for loss and one pass breakup. Daniel Simpson has 18 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1.0 sacks.
