Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State University Football team picked up their first win of the season on Saturday night against the Saints by a final score of 49-27. The Comets move to 1-7 on the regular season and 1-4 in NSAA play.

How It Happened:
The Mayville State Comets scored two touchdowns in the first four minutes of the game scoring on a 69-yard touchdown pass from Tim Salmon to Javeion Davison and an 18-yard touchdown run from Jason Nelson.
After Presentation cut the lead to eight, Maalik Flowers caught a 79-yard touchdown pass from Tim Salmon to give them a two-score lead halfway through the first quarter.
The third touchdown pass of the first half went for 41-yards to Reece Smith to take a 28-9 lead. MSU would answer with one touchdown late in the second quarter on a 25-yard touchdown pass from Salmon to Flowers.
Presentation College would score nine straight points to start the third quart to cut the Comet lead to 17.
The Comets would score to start the fourth quarter on a Mason Ollman 1-yard touchdown run after a nine-play drive.
Tim Salmon would put the finishing touches on the football game with 2:24 seconds left in the game on a 4-yard rushing touchdown to give the Comets 49-27.
