Comets travel to instate conference opponents Wednesday and Thursday

Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State Volleyball team travels to Valley City State and Dickinson State this week for two conference matches on Wednesday and Thursday. The first serve in Valley City on Wednesday is scheduled for 7:00 PM and 6:00 PM CST in Dickinson on Thursday.

Quick Hits on the Comets:
The Mayville State Comets enter the midweek conference matchups with a 12-7 overall record and 2-3 in conference play.
Last week, the Comets traveled to Waldorf and Viterbo and would split the conference doubleheader defeating the Warriors 3-1 and dropping a match to #2 V-Hawks 0-3.
The Comets are averaging 12.2 kills per set, a .196 hitting percentage, 831 kills on the season, 11.4 assists per set, and 49 service aces.
Defensively, MSU is allowing 13.9 kills per set, a .190 hitting percentage, 13.3 assists per set, and 86 service aces. The Comets have 119.5 total blocks, 34 solo blocks, 1288 digs, and 18.9 digs per set.
The Comets are led by Elora Passa with 230 kills on the season, a .234 hitting percentage, 372 assists, 5.47 assists per set, five service aces, and 24.0 total blocks.

Natalie Hadrava has a team-leading 359 digs on the season, 5.28 digs per set, a .959 serve reception percentage and five service aces.
Jordyn Lucas and Payton Richter are second and third in digs on the team with 237 and 222 digs, respectively. They also combine for 19 service aces between the two.

Matching up with the Vikings:
The Valley City State Vikings enter the matchup with the Comets with a 6-13 overall record and 3-2 in conference play.
The Vikings are averaging 11.3 kills per set, a .147 hitting percentage, 10.6 assists per set, and 1.6 service aces per set.
