Aberdeen, S.D. - The Mayville State Volleyball team swept the Presentation College Saints by a final of 25-19, 25-13, and 25-17 Tuesday night. The Comets move to 20-9 on the regular season and 9-3 in conference play.

The first set was tight throughout the first set as the Comets and Saints were tied at 10. It continued to be close as neither team could gain a lead more than two points until the Comets took a three-point lead at 19-16. With the Comets up 22-18, the Comets would score three of the last four points and take the first set by a final score of 25-19.

The Comets started the second set scoring six of the first eight points to start the set. The Saints would claw back into the match and tie the game at 10. That is when the Comets went on their big run, finishing the set on a 15-3 run and win the second set by a final score of 25-13. The Comets cruised to a third-set victory of 25-17. The Comets finished the game with 48 kills, 12 errors on 159 attempts for a .226 hitting percentage.

Mayville State also finished with 94 digs, 38 assists, eight blocks, and two aces.
Elora Passa finished with a triple-double of 10 kills, 20 assists, 14 digs, and 0.5 blocks.
Victoria Johnson finished with 14 kills, a .448 hitting percentage, and 4.0 blocks.
Lily Pyle also finished in double figures with 10 kills, 1.0 blocks, and three digs.
Mason Hart tallied 34 digs in the back row with two service aces, and two kills.
Amy Seim tallied 15 digs in the back row and
Rachel Hill tallied 13 assists.

Comets host Dakota State and Bellevue this weekend at the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse. The first serve on Friday is scheduled for 6:00 pm against the Bruins. On Saturday, the JV starts at 2:00 pm with the Varsity to start around 4:00 PM against the Trojans.
