Comet Volleyball travels to #12 Bruins & Trojans this weekend

Mayville, N.D. - The Mayville State University Volleyball team travels to #12 Bellevue University and Dakota State Friday and Saturday for the start of the spring conference season. Tip-off on Friday is scheduled for 6:00 pm against the Bruins and 2:00 pm on Saturday against the Trojans. 
 
Quick Hits on the Comets:
Mayville State enters the conference weekend with a 16-5 overall record and 5-0 in conference play. MSU is also receiving votes in the latest Coaches Poll.
The Comets are averaging 10.9 kills per set, .182 hitting percentage, 9.6 assists per set, and 0.9 service aces per set.
On the defensive side, MSU is averaging 0.9 reception errors per set, 18.2 digs per set, and 2.0 blocks per set.
Victoria Johnson is leading the Comets in kills this season with 303 on the season, averaging 3.8 kills per set, and has a total of 84.0 blocks.
Elora Passa is second in kills and assists with 206 kills, 370 assists, 21 service aces, 177 digs, and 44 total blocks.
Rachel Hill is leading the Comets with 376 assists on the season, 20 service aces, and 150 digs in the back row.
Mason Hart is currently averaging 6.0 digs per set, and 482 digs on the season. Second on the team is Amy Seim with 4.0 digs per set and 324 digs on the season.
 
Matching up with the Bruins:
The #12 ranked Bruins enter the weekend matchup with the Comets with a 6-2 overall record and 4-0 in NSAA play.
Bellevue University is averaging 12.0 kills per set, .240 hitting percentage, 11.1 assists per set, and 1.3 service aces per set.
On the defensive side, the Bruins are averaging 1.1 reception errors per set, 15.5 digs per set, and 1.8 blocks per set.
Eve Fountain is leading the team with 101 kills this season, 3.4 kills per set, 17.0 total blocks, and 17 service aces.
Second on the team in kills is Sierra Athen and Andrea Carson with 58 on the season. Anna Koehler is leading the back row with 129 digs on the season. Olivia Galas has a team-leading 302 assists for the Bruins.
