Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State University Football team opens the 2021 season on the road at #20 Roosevelt University. The kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 PM from Chicago, Illinois against the Lakers.

The Comet Football enters the 2021 football season after a 2-7 overall record and 1-6 in conference play last season.
The Comets defeated the Presentation College Saints twice last season both on the road with a final score of 42-14 and 20-14.

The top four in tackles return for the MSU defense; Josiah Walker, Austin Delaroque, Daniel Simpson, and Danzele Navy. Those four players combined for 214 tackles for the Comets last season.
The Comets were selected fifth in the NSAA preseason Coaches' Poll with 17 points. Dickinson State was selected first with 36 points and six first-place votes.
