Grant Hartmann

Coach Hartmann is entering his first year coaching at Mayville State. 

Prior to coaching at Mayville State, Coach Hartmann served as running backs coach at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. While at Carleton, he helped to install a new offense that broke numerous school records in completions, pass attempts, touchdowns and scoring. 

Prior to working at Carleton, Coach Hartmann served as Tight Ends and Linebackers Coach at St. Louis Park High School in St. Louis Park, MN. While there, he helped the Orioles to their first winning season in over 50 years, the first state playoff appearance in school history and a section championship in 2017. 

As a player Coach Hartmann played linebacker at The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota, helping the Saints to back-to-back conference championships, undefeated regular seasons and national playoff appearances. He is a native of Minnetonka, Minnesota and played inside linebacker for the Skippers.

He currently resides in Mayville with his fiance, Katy, and his dog Bert.
