Jake Litecky

Jake Litecky enters his 6th season as Defensive Coordinator at Mayville State. Litecky was hired in 2020 and has been calling the defense and has been coaching the linebackers for the Comets. Litecky was named NSAA Assistant Coach of the Year in 2024.

Coach Litecky spent 2016-2019 as an assistant football coach at UW-River Falls, Coach Litecky served as the Defensive Run Game Coordinator and special teams coordinator since 2016.

Druing his time at UW-River Falls, he coached three linebackers and four defensive linemen to All-WIAC honors in his four seasons as an assistant coach at UW-River Falls. Litecky assisted in coordinating a defensive front half that led the WIAC in run defense in 2017 by only allowing 79.8 rushing yards a game and 2.7 yards per carry.

Litecky spent the 2015 season as a graduate assistant offensive line coach at UW-Whitewater. The Warhawks went on to reach the semifinals of the National Playoffs behind an offensive line that averaged 222.9 yards per game. Coach Litecky also served as a student assistant football coach at UW-River Falls in 2014 working with the tight ends.

Coach Litecky earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science at UW-River Falls. He then went on to earn his Masters degree in Higher Education and Leadership with emphasis in Athletic Administration. Coach Litecky played for UW-River Falls as an offensive lineman from 2010-13 and earned All-WIAC honors as a senior.
