Jeff Larson is entering his first season as the Head Football Coach at Mayville State University.
Larson has spent the past seven seasons as the Defensive Coordinator at Chadron State College. During that time, Coach Larson has been a part of teams that have compiled a 46 – 31 record including one NCAA Division Two playoff appearance. The Eagles have also had success in the classroom, winning the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference award for the highest team GPA three out of the past six academic years.
Prior to Chadron State, Coach Larson spent four seasons at Black Hills State University, three of which were as the Defensive Coordinator. He began his collegiate coaching career at Chadron State where the Eagles won two conference championships and made two NCAA Division Two playoff appearances. Overall, he has been a part of collegiate football teams that have posted a 91-52 record.
Coach Larson spent his first five years coaching football in the high school ranks. During his final season as a high school coach he helped lead Cheyenne East to their first state championship appearance in thirty-one years.
Coach Larson received his Master’s Degree from Chadron State College and his Bachelor’s Degree from Northern State University where he played linebacker for the Wolves in his hometown of Aberdeen, SD.
He and his wife, Staci have one daughter, Amalia.
