Micah Smith has spent the past five seasons as an assistant coach at Eastern Illinois University.  While at Eastern Illinois, Smith has coached inside receivers, tight ends and wide receivers. Coach Smith helped coach the Panthers to a NCAA FCS playoff appearance in 2015.
Prior to Eastern Illinois, Coach Smith was an assistant coach at Fort Lewis College for two seasons. Before arriving at Fort Lewis, Smith spent one season at Wabash College where the Little Giants were conference champions and made a NCAA Division III playoff appearance. Coach Smith also spent two seasons coaching at Wayne State College and began his coaching career in the high school ranks for one season at Chadron High School.
Coach Smith received his Master’s Degree from Wayne State College and his Bachelor’s Degree from Chadron State College where he played receiver for the Eagles. He and his wife, Jadrianne have one daughter, Joslyn.
