Before MSU:
Dario is a 2025 graduate of Sunrise Mountain High School in Las Vegas, Nevada where he was named 1st Team All-Conference linebacker and Defensive Player of the Year.

He is the son of of Eric McCoy and intends on majoring in Social Work.
