Biography

As a Comet:

2023: Played in 7 games for the Comets. He had a career high of 6 receptions against Montana State-Northern. Against Nebraska Wesleyan, he had a career high of 76 receiving yards. He averaged 13.14 yards on kick returns for the season. He recorded a career high kick return of 38 yards against Dickinson.

Carlson is a 2023 graduate of Finley-Sharon High School where he played football, basketball and ran track all four years. He also was in legion baseball for one year.

He was the 2022 ND 9-Man Region 1 Senior Athlete of the year and named First Team All-state Defense. He was 3x all region in football and 1x all region in basketball.

Carlson was All-State Academic Honorable Mention two years in a row and was a four year honor roll student. 

Carlson is the son of Luke and Jodi Carlson and has two sisters: Kiaza and Briella. He is majoring in Agribusiness.
