Elora Passa enters her second season as the head coach at Mayville State. The Comets finished 10th in their debut in the Frontier Conference which is home to 3 top 25 teams. Tori Richter was named Second Team All-Conference as a defensive specialist & Desidy Schwanke was named Frontier Conference Honorable Mention as an outside hitter. This marks the first two all-conference players under Passa.
Passa took over the Mayville State Comet Volleyball team as the head coach in the spring of 2025 after serving as a graduate assistant under head coach, Katie Aasen. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Passa is an instructor in the HPER department at Mayville State.
Passa is a former standout Mayville State Volleyball student-athlete, who earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education in 2023. She also earned a Master of Education degree in innovative teaching practices from Mayville State in 2024, and she is currently pursuing a second master's degree in leadership in physical education and sports.
During her 5 year career as a Comet, she posted a total of 1,362 kills, 3,128 assists and 1,294 digs. Passa's sister, Samantha Passa, was a four year player for the Comets and her mom, Jane Passa, is in her 28th season as head coach of the NDSCS volleyball program, where she has an surpassed over 700 wins.
