Mayville State University Athletics

Payton Richter joins to Mayville State Volleyball coaching staff as of June 1st, 2025. 

Richter, originally from Casselton, N.D. and head coach Elora Passa's former teammate, played five seasons for the Comets from 2019 until 2023. She was a setter and a defensive specialist where she tallied a career total of 1,055 digs and 423 assists. In the 2022 season, Richter accumulated over half of her career digs with 561 on the season. Richter played 5 seasons for Comet Volleyball and was part of the team that made it to the National Tournament in 2020-21.
