Jay DeCann has been hired as Athletic Director at Mayville State University. DeCann will officially begin his duties at Mayville State July 1, 2022.
DeCann is currently Activities Director at West Fargo (N.D.) High School, a position he has held since 2015. Previously, he was Activities Director at Little Falls (Minn.) Community Schools. DeCann’s career experiences include serving as a middle school administrator, high school health and physical education instructor, and high school and college coach.
A 1991 graduate of Mayville State University, Jay DeCann earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with a major in health and physical education and a minor in coaching. He also earned a Master of Science in Education degree and a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D.
