Comet women fall to nationally-ranked Minot State University

Mayville State faced a nationally-ranked Minot State University in women's basketball on Saturday, January 8th as the Beavers defeated the Comets 82-51 in Minot, N.D.

Carly Boag led Minot State with 19 points and four other Beaver players finished in double figures as the home team shot 57 percent from the field and 61 percent from three-point range in the contest.

The Comets struggled with their offense throughout the game, finishing with 32 percent from the field. Eli Cosme-Gonzalez led the way with 14 points for MSU on 7-of-10 from the field. Erin Ericson added 11 points for the Comets with three three-pointers in the game.

The Comets will move on to face Black Hills State University and South Dakota Tech this weekend as they return home to the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse for more Dakota Athletic Conference play.
