Mayville State women lose at Dickinson State

Mayville State University got back to Dakota Athletic Conference action in women's basketball on January 7th at Dickison State University as they took on the Bluehawks.

The Comets got off to a good start going into halftime with a 26-22 lead, but DSU came back to take the game by a final of 65-52.

Kira DeMorales was the game's leading scorer, shooting 10-for-12 from the field and finishing with 21 points along with a team-high 8 rebounds. Eli Cosme-Gonzales was the only other Comet player to hit double figures with 13 points on 5-of-7 from the field.

MSU outrebounded the Bluehawks 30-29 but committed 30 turnovers in their first game since the semester break.

Dickinson finished with four players in double figures in the contest. Amber Adams and Kylee Bittner led the Bluehawks with 15 points apiece.
