Mayville State University stole the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over Northwestern College on Saturday. Northwestern College trailed 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Devin Dreesen grounded out, scoring one run and bringing things within one, but that's as close as they would get. 

Alissa Foster and Jade Ledochowski combined for a pair of RBI and took the lead in the sixth to pull the Comets ahead. That's all MSU would need for the victory on Saturday evening. 

The Comets came out ahead 4-3 for the win on Saturday after MSU manufactured a pair of runs.

Annika Seedborg led things off in the circle for Mayville State University . She surrendered three runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out five.

Dayna Gutierrez went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Comets in hits.
