Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State University Women's Basketball team travels to Madison, S.D. for the Dakota Clash on Friday and Saturday. The Comets will play Dakota State on Friday at 7:30 pm and Presentation College on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
 
Dakota State has an attendance restriction for Friday's game against Dakota State. The players and coaches have 30 tickets to hand out for the game, if there are any available, we will post below. For Saturday's game against Presentation College, they are currently not having any restrictions if it follows the 33% capacity of the Dakota State Fieldhouse.  
 
Quick Hits on the Comets:
The Comets enter the Dakota Clash with a 2-0 record defeating Trinity Bible College and Dickinson State last weekend in Aberdeen South Dakota. Over the weekend, MSU averaged 72.5 points per game, shooting 48.2 percent from the field, 38.5 percent from behind the arc, and 16.0 assists. Jordan Zrust was named NSAA Player of the Week for her performance over the weekend, averaging 20.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 44.1 percentage from the field, four assists, and four steals. Freshman CJ Decker poured in 30 points over the weekend shooting 57.9 percent from the field, 5-of-7 from behind the 3-point line, 12 rebounds, and six assists. Danneka Voegeli averaged 11.0 points per game, 5.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and was 10-of-16 from the field, shooting the highest percentage for the Comets. Grace Cote is the last player averaging double figures with 10.5 points, draining seven threes in two games. The Comets were selected fifth in the NSAA Preseason Coaches Poll with 27 points, Bellevue was selected first in the Poll with 60 points.

The Trojans enter the Dakota Clash with a 4-3 record dropping a non-conference game to Morningside last time out.DSU is averaging 78.7 points, 48.5 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from behind the arc, 36.3 rebounds, and 10.2 steals.Jesse Giles is averaging a team-leading 16.1 points per game, shooting 48.1 percent from the field, 46.9 percent from the 3-point line, and 18 assists. Savannah Walsdorf is averaging 15.4 ppoints, shooting 55.1 percent from the field, 56.5 percent from behind the arc, 4.8 rebounds and 13 total steals. Presentation College enters the game with a 1-7 overall record, defeating Oak Hills Christian by a final score of 95-43 in their last game.The Saints are averaging 59.9 points per game, shooting 35.6 percent from the field, 31.3 percent from behind the 3-point line, and dishing out 10.8 assist per game. Defensively, PC is allowing 74.3 points, 42.0 percent from the field, 28.7 percent from behind the arc, and forcing 16.7 turnovers per game. Aaliyah Hull has a team-leading 12.2 points per game, 11.2 rebounds per game, four blocks, and one steal.
