The final game for the Baseball team in 2020 ended with a nonconference victory over the Vikings by a final score of 9-3 and finish the season at 13-7. The Comets would finish with nine runs on 16 hits, eight walks, and two errors.
Gunner Garpestad tallied three hits in five at-bats with one run scored. McCorrister finished the game with two hits, two runs scored, and two runs batted in. The Mayville State University baseball team picked up a nonconference victory over Valley City State University Sunday afternoon by the final score of 9-3. With the victory, the Comets improve to 13-7 on the season.

Valley City started the scoring in the bottom of the first inning on a single from Mathews to give the Vikings an early 1-0 lead. The Comets would answer with two runs in the top of the second on an
Alex Aguilar single that scored May and a single from
Marcus Hughes that scored Garpestad. The Vikings would tie the game in the bottom of the second inning to even the game at two.

 MSU would take the lead right back in the third inning scoring three runs on four hits.
Jared McCorrister would double to deep right-center to scored Theisen from second base. The next batter
Skyler Forst would double down the left field line to score McCorrister to give the Comets a 4-2 lead. After May was hit by the pitch and Garpestad singled to center. Aguilar would hit a sacrifice fly to center field to score the third run of the inning. Mayville State would add an insurance run in the top of the fourth inning on a bases loaded walk from Aguilar that scored McCorrister.

The Vikings would answer with one run in the bottom of the inning to cut the lead to 6-3. MSU would tack-on two runs in the top of the seventh inning to extend the lead.
Theo May would drive in Theisen on a single to centerfield to give the Comets a 7-3 lead. Later in the inning,
Marcus Hughes would walk with the bases loaded to score May from third base.
Payton DeLuca would lead off the top of the eighth inning with a triple to right-center and would later score on a groundout to the second baseman to score the ninth and final run of the game.
