Women's Basketball travels to Milwaukee for the Cardinal Stritch Classic

Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State Women's Basketball team travels to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the Cardinal Stritch Classic. On Friday, the Comets play the RedHawks from Indiana University Northwest with a 7:30 PM tip-off and playing host Cardinal Stritch University on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
 
Quick Hits on the Comets:
The Mayville State Comets enter the weekend Cardinal Stritch Classic with an 0-1 overall record.
Last Saturday, MSU dropped a non-conference game to the University of Jamestown by a final score of 74-76.
In that game, the Comets shot 38.8 percent from the field, 34.6 percent from the 3-point line, 76.5 percent from the free-throw line, 44.0 rebounds, and 14.0 assists per game.
Defensively, the Comets allowed 44.3 percent from the field, 47.4 percent from behind the 3-point line, 34.0 rebounds, and forced 17.0 turnovers.

The Mayville State Comets were selected to finish third in the NSAA Preseason Coaches Poll. Dakota State was the unanimous number one.

Defensively, they allowed 44.4 percent from the field, 29.2 percent from behind the 3-point line, 51 rebounds, 17 assists, and eight steals.
Ella Diny led the Wolves with 13 points, seven rebounds, one block, and one steal.
