Sioux Center, Iowa - The Mayville State Men's Basketball team dropped a non-conference game to Dordt University by a final score of 58-83 on Friday Night.

How It Happened:

The Comets jumped out to an early lead at 15-6 but it was answered by a 14-0 run to take a 20-15 lead.

The Comets would trail the rest of the first half and head into the intermission down 11 points.

In the first half, the Comets shot 46.8 percent from the field, 4-of-13 from behind the 3-point line, and were a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line.

It was all Defenders in the second half as MSU was out-scored 32-18 and dropped the first of two non-conference games to GPAC schools Friday.

For the game, the Comets shot 39.7 percent from the field, 19.0 percent from behind the arc, and 8-of-13 from the free-throw line.

MSU also tallied 26 points in the paint, 8 points off turnovers, 6 second-chance points, and two fast breakpoints.
