Madison, S.D. – The Dakota State University Volleyball dropped a conference match to Dakota State in straight sets Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened:
The Comets and Trojans were in a tight match in the first set as it was tied at 16 before an 8-1 Trojan run to end the first set.
The second set was even closer as the Comets were within one point late in the second set, but DSU closed out the second set by a final score of 22-25.
The Comets and Trojans were in a one-point game at 14-15 before a 10-4 run finished the set and gave Dakota State a three-set victory over the Comets.
Mayville State finished the game with 31 kills, 19 attack errors on 114 attempts for a .105 hitting percentage. Dakota State finished with a .252 hitting percentage with 51 kills.
The Comets also finished with 51 digs, 26 assists, and four blocks (Kortan 2, Johnson 2, and Pyburn 2).
