Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State Volleyball team defeated the Blue Hawks on Saturday afternoon to finish the regular season by a final score of 25-20, 25-21, and 25-20.

How It Happened:
It was a back-and-forth game in the first set when MSU went on a 6-1 run to take a five-point lead at 21-16. Dickinson tried to close the gap, but back-to-back attack errors gave MSU the first set victory 25-20.
The Blue Hawks took a six-point lead at 12-6 in the second set when the Comets went on an 8-1 run to give the Comets the one-point lead. The set was tied at 21 when MSU went on a 4-0 run to close the second set 25-21.
In the third set MSU took advantage of some mistakes by the Blue Hawks to take a 20-15 lead. After the Blue Hawks got the game with in two points, the Comets would score four-out-of-five points to take the third set and sweep the Blue Hawks.
MSU finished the game with a .188 hitting percentage, 39 kills, 15 errors while host the Blue Hawks to 36 kills, 26 attack errors and a .070 hitting percentage.
The Comets also finished with 34 assists, 71 digs, 8 blocks, and three service aces.
