Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State Men's Basketball team broke the century mark for the first time this season, as they defeated the Lions by a final score of 113-71. Comets move to 2-2 in the regular season.

How It Happened:
The Lions held a lead in the early part of the first half as they were up three at 16-13 with 13:30 minutes left in the first half when Mayville State went on a run and stretched the lead to 15 with seven minutes left in the half.
In the first half, MSU shot 57.9 percent from the field, 43.8 percent from behind the arc, dished out 12 assists, and only turned the ball over four times.
The Comets continued the scoring in the second half scoring 61 points, after scoring 52 in the first half. MSU shot over 60 percent in the second half, made nine three-pointers, and dished out 15 assists.
The Comets bench depth tonight was outstanding as all 14 players that entered the game scored at least one point in the victory.
