Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State University Women's Basketball team defeated the Trinity Bible Lions on Monday night by a final score of 84-33. The Comets move to 4-1 on the regular season.

How It Happened:
Defensively, the Comets only allowed one field goal in the first quarter and held the Lions to seven points in the first quarter. The Comets scored 22 points in the first quarter and jumped out an early lead and the Comets did not look back the rest of the way.
It was more of the same in the second quarter as the Comets allowed only seven points in the second quarter and went into the intermission with a 32-point lead.
The Comets finished the game shooting 43.1 percent from the field, 27.9 percent from behind the 3-point line, and 90.9 percent from the free-throw line.
Mayville State also finished with 36 points in the paint, 21 points off turnovers, 16 second-chance points, and 49 points off the bench.
